Garment building workshop II: making two skirts (4/9-4/30)

include zippers & buttons, bias vs. straight cut

Day 1) Measuring and pattern making (working from a sketch)

Day 2) Fabric use, cutting & piecing

Day 3) Construction, seams & intersections, setting sleeves

Day 4) Fitting, hem/neckline, finishing touches

2-6 students per class, $120 per student

prerequisite – basic sewing skills, (Sewing for Beginners or instructor approval)

materials – basic sewing kit (scissors, measuring tape, seam ripper, pins w/ cushion, needles, thread, machine)

approx. 3 yards fabric (jersey knit cotton) with matching thread

notebook & pencil
