Gavilan College Presents Guitar Music Of Spain May 17, 2008

What: Gavilan College is proud to present Guitar Music of Spain featuring Albert “Ajito” Marques and Corey Whitehead.

Who: Corey Whitehead has performed classical and flamenco guitar in festivals, on television and radio in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Italy, France, Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.

Award winning guitarist Albert Marqués, known as El Ajito in the flamenco world, has studied with legendary guitarists Mariano Cordoba, Chicuelo, Juan Serrano, Juan Manual Canizares, Jose Roldan, Gerardo Nunez and Paco Fernandez, to name a few.

Some of Albert’s most recent projects include the song, “Piel de Seda” for the movie soundtrack, It’ll Happen.

They will perform one night only on the Gavilan College Theater stage.
