This exhibition juxtaposes the world-famous quilts from the women at Gee's Bend with Thornton Dial's metaphoric assemblages. Both the quilters and Thornton Dial found inspiration in African American asthetic traditions, including cemetary construction and yard art in the rural South.

... except Monday, May 28 is Memorial Day. So, we'll probably leave the date as it is. Maybe we can do something informal on the 28th (e.g. go out for dinner/drinks).
