Geneva Lake Art Association Student Art Exhibition April 24, 2009

The Neal Heffernan Art Scholarship Foundation and the Lake Geneva Rotary will sponsor three awards for high school art students entering Geneva Lake Art Association’s “Annual Student Art Exhibit”. The show runs from April 24th through May 31, 2009. Participants for the show will be drawn from students and instructors representing Badger High School, Williams Bay High School, and Big Foot High School, as well as students and instructors from GLAA Art School.
The award process is as follows. Artwork to be included in the show will be selected by high school art teachers from students in their school art programs. The student art selected will be hung in the Geneva Lake Art Association Gallery and entries judged by local artist, Alice White, prior to the show’s opening.
On Friday, April 24th at 7:30 p.m. the Neal Heffernan Foundation / Rotary will present the following awards:
Best of Show - $500.00 scholarship
(2) Merit Awards - $100.00 scholarship
(3) Awards of Recognition
(4) Jack Nichols Drawing and Illustration Award
The opening reception will be held on Friday evening, April 24th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Refreshments will be served and entertainment provided by a jazz ensemble from Badger High School, so please come to meet and display your support for the young artists.
