Get Close to the Flame - Art Auction and Hot Glass Demonstrations February 21, 2009

GULFPORT -- The glory holes will be glowing and the torches will be burning on Saturday, February 21st, when the Industrial Arts Center here celebrates its first Get Close to the Flame event. For only $10, ticket holders will get a chance to win one of at least five one-of-a-kind hot glass pieces created right before their eyes – plus much more. “Flame” promises to be an afternoon of fun for everyone from serious glass art collectors to families looking for a unique outing.

3-5 pm Demonstrations by award-winning hot glass artists
3:30 pm Dedication of Shane’s Tall Drink of Water sculpture
5 pm Live Auction
3-8 pm Silent Auction
Music, Refreshments, Entertainment & Family Fun
