How do animals and plants get ready for winter? Do some go away on vacation? Who curls up and goes to sleep? How do trees keep from freezing? Wrap yourself up in a warm coat as we look for winter resting places and visit with one of Drumlin's own hibernators. - - All ages welcome, but oldest child must be at least two years old. Up to three children per adult. "Backpack babies" (under 12 months old and carried in a backpack or sling) are welcome free of charge, but please mention these participants when registering. The fee for children between the ages of 12 and 17 months is half the regular participant fee. - - Things You Should Know: - - Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary is a dynamic environment. Occasionally we may make programmatic changes to take advantage of new opportunities or to maintain the safety of the visitors and the animals we care for. - - Children should be the age indicated by the start of each program. - - On the first day of each class, please check in at the Admissions Window (except where noted), to find out where your class will meet. - - Programs include time indoors, as well as outside and will run rain or shine; please come dressed comfortably for our outdoor adventures! - - In programs where there is a farm to food connection, snacks from the farm may be incorporated.
