Gimme Shelter: Architects Design for Shade October 9, 2012

The Berkshire Botanical Garden opens its 2012 season with this exhibition of shade shelters by four design groups: New England Modern & Co, Crisp Architects, Burr & McCallum Architects, and Kristine Sprague AIA LEED AP. Works on view integrate examples of ancient Japanese charring techniques as well as green roofs, reinvented traditionalist architecture and surprise sound elements.
