The gallery is please to announce its second solo show by Texas-based painter Ed Blackburn. The exhibition offers a brief survey of the
artist’s fascination with the images of popular culture spanning over
three decades from 1973 to the present. Like many artists who came of age in the late 1970s and 80s, Blackburn began deriving his imagery through an eclectic approach of appropriating and combing images and styles from various cultural sources – a practice which he has continued to this day.
