Gloria Deo: A Festival of Lessons and Carols December 20, 2009

Grace Bible Church Choir invites you to participate in a century-old Christmas tradition. The Festival of Lessons and Carols was first held on Christmas Eve in 1918 in Cambridge, England. The lessons and prayers have remained virtually intact from the beginning. The main theme of the Service of Lessons and Carols is “the loving purposes of God” presented through the scripture readings. These readings provide both the structural pattern and the strength of the service.
