On March 29, at SRB Brooklyn, Q-Tip will lead a sonic Excursion into the mind of a self-described musical “scientist.” Q-tip is a Grammy winning hip-hop artist, producer and dj that helped pioneer a Golden Era in modern music by blending Jazz, funk and R&B influences into hiphop.
Here’s a video glimpse into Q-Tips live musical journey: http://youtu.be/lMo-6dBeZ5Y?t=10s
SRB Brooklyn is located at 177 2nd Ave and 14th St in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Closing the night, the legendary Tony Touch is known in many circles as the “Mix-tape King.” Tony Touch’s career includes successful stints as a B-boy, artist, producer and DJ. His live set reflects his Latin heritage within his hip-hop lifestyle.
Setting the stage for these two hip-hop legends on March 29 is DJ Soul, one of the most sought after DJs in the industry. DJ Soul’s mix-tapes are critically acclaimed and among some of the most downloaded of all time.
Also spinning will be Bembe’s own genre blending resident music mixologist, DJ Ushka.
