The Pink Palace Museum will be hosting on the Gomophothere. The animal probably stood seven to eight feet tall and weighed one to two tons. It used the shovel-like lower tusks to dig up vegetation from swamps and lakebeds. Heavy wear on the teeth indicates that this was an older adult at the time of death.
