Perhaps one of the UK's most respected and innovative acoustic guitarists, Giltrap has worked with an amazingly broad range of artists, from rock musicians Brian May, Rick Wakeman and Midge Ure to jazz virtuoso Martin Taylor, the classical guitarist Raymond Burley and the London Symphony Orchestra.

As a child he unwittingly taught himself a hybrid technique of plectrum and little finger, and in doing so, created the individual sound that is still his trademark. Trivia fans may be interested to know that at one point his tunes The Carnival and Ivor Novello Award nominated Heartsong were both being used as the theme tunes to ITV’s Wish You Were Here and BBC’s Holiday programme respectively.
