Gorilla in Our Midst: Bobo March 4, 2009

Seattle's first 20th century celebrity was Bobo the Gorilla, who was raised in a private home and later moved to the Woodland Park Zoo. He appeared in 'LIFE Magazine,' newsreels and a Bill Cosby record. Bobo came to MOHAI as taxidermy in 1968, and he's been an icon ever since.
