The Greater Lansing Area Horseshoe Club runs a sanctioned horseshoe pitching league every Thursday night starting the first Thursday in May and runs until the third Thursday in August. Starting time is 6:00 p.m. each night. Men, women, elders and kids can all participate. The league uses a handicap point system so each player has an equal opportunity to win regardless of ringer percentage or skill level. There is an awards banquet at the end of the season where trophies and other awards are given to winner members.
A non-sanctioned league can be started at any time. Call 517-487-0188 for more information or visit the club website.
This is the last night of league pitching for 2011. Tonight we will be pitching for the traveling trophy and the club championship. If you missed us this year, please plan to join us in May of 2012 for fun, fresh air and friendship.
