Green Fest ’09 is a fun and unique, all-day celebration that will enlighten and inspire all that attend. THIS IS NOT AN EXPO! The date of the event is Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 11:00am- 8:00pm. The day will be filled with interactive booths, facts and how-to’s educating the public on what they can do to become more “environmentally friendly” or “Green.” This kid & family-friendly time will take place from 11:00am -5:00pm. The evening continues from 5:00pm-8:00pm, and will draw art and music enthusiasts with live entertainment. Alternative, organic food, beverages, and beers will be available by vendors to sample, trees will be handed out to offset the event carbon footprint, and eco-friendly items will be given to visitors thus promoting a healthier lifestyle for individuals and families alike.

Individuals, families, groups, organizations, business owners, and home owners are all encouraged to attend this one-of-a kind festival. Visitors of all ages from around the central Florida area will come to the Baldwin Park Village Center and be entertained by music, art, activities, and surprises courtesy of our exhibitors. All of which will leave them excited about a positive and necessary change. The four main festival areas are: Health & Lifestyle, Alternative Food & Beverages, Healthy Kids and all-day Live Entertainment.

The event is FREE with many items available for purchase. One of the features of the event will be a designated drop-off for unused items including computers, printers, phones, copiers, documents to be shredded, etc. all free of charge to provide an opportunity for the community to take part in offsetting carbon footprint. In partnerships with the City of Orlando’s Green Works program scheduled special guests include Mayor Buddy Dyer, Congress Representatives and many other honored dignitaries. The Orlando Science Center, The Central Florida Zoo, and several other note-worthy organizations have recently joined our team. All local media sources are invited.
