Montana's first and best-known state park showcases one of the most highly decorated limestone caverns in the Northwest. Naturally air conditioned, these spectacular caves, lined with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and helictites date back through time. Daily cave tours from May 1 through September 30. Access to cave by guided tour only. The tour is a 2-mile, 2-hour walk with some stooping and bending required, rising 300 feet and descending 600 stairs. Wear rubber soled walking shoes and a sweater for the 50 degree cave temperature.
