Halloween Party at Pixie Woods October 26, 2008

Pixie Woods will host its final party of the 2008 children’s playland season with a Halloween celebration, Sunday, October 26 from 12 to 5 p.m.

Admission to Pixie Woods is free on this date for children ages 10 and under who arrive in costume. Regular admission to the park is $3 for ages 12 and under and $3.75 for ages 13 and up.

The Halloween party will feature a costume parade through the park and a puppet show in the Toadstool Theatre at 2 p.m. Throughout the day, candy and prizes will be offered to young trick or treaters.

For the young at heart, there are a variety of places to explore and play, as well as the Pixie Express train, the Pixie Queen paddlewheel steamer and vintage carousel. Rides are $1.75 each or three rides for $4.25. An unlimited ride day pass is available for $6.50 per person.

Pixie Woods is open this Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. The park closes for the winter Monday, October 27. For more information, visit www.stocktongov.com/parks
