Youth Guidance invites the community to help with their Mentor Matching Challenge Goal. The Mentor Recruitment Committee has set a goal of 150 mentor/mentee matches by June 1, 2011. The community has been a great support and resource for the children and will be able to continue to help with this newest mission. Currently Youth Guidance has
just over 100 matches thanks to their dedicated and loyal volunteers and business partners but they still need more! The program has activities almost weekly to encourage the mentor/mentee relationship and to
provide positive support for the unmatched youth while they are waiting for a mentor. By volunteering at one these activities, individuals are able to spend a few hours with one of the Youth Guidance kids which will hopefully turn into a match. Mentor Orientations are also held on a regular basis and are a great way to find out about the rewards and
responsibilities of being a mentor. For more information contact the Youth Guidance office at 772-770-5040 or visit the Youth Guidance website, www.ircyouth.com.
