The Hendersonville Focus Group Meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Bay Breeze Restaurant, 1830 Asheville Hwy/25N, on Tuesday January 26, 2010. Free to members and first time visitors. $15 for general admission.

This month we will focus on: a) learning how HomeVestors of Asheville achieved success in 2009 in a difficult real estate environment, and b) how we as investors can potentially utilize HomeVestors services to meet our investing goals. Rob Caldwell, Sales and Investor Relations Manager will be our guest speaker.

Some may see HomeVestors as a competitor. If this were the case, it is worth remembering that some of our best lessons come from our competitors. Another view is that they are a service provider and a source of investment properties. Only you can decide, based on your needs and goals. The following are tentative topics for discussion, pending your interests:

· What were the key drivers for HomeVestors of Asheville's success in 2009? What ideas are transferable to CREIA investors?

· Recent sales experience using the Federal Tax Credit Incentive and how the extension will affect future sales. (flipping opportunities)

· USDA and FHA Loans for Double Wide Manufactured homes. What is required to get the DW sold.

· Rental Properties – The exceptional amount of time it now takes to get a house rented and what they are doing about it. (the unintentional landlord impact, among others)

· Is HomeVestors® of Asheville a competitor to other investors in the area? How you can work with HomeVestors® of Asheville to buy and sell more investment properties through an individualized program for investors.

· How they sell their houses and why they don’t list everything they sell in MLS.
