We will take advantage of the cool weather and do a six hour walk to the highest point of the Margallas (5264 feet, 1604 m). On a clear day there are great views of the Pirpanjal range and the Murree hills. There is fair chance to see some magnificent eagles. This is a rather tough hike, which will start in the valley and includes some steep stretches, that can be strenuous for occasional hikers. Wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water, some snacks. Due to high winds, it can get cold near the top, so bring warm clothing and rain gear.
Hike Rating – Climb: Strenuous Duration: Strenuous Overall: Strenuous
We will carpool and drive in our cars to the trailhead behind Quaid-e-Azam University.
Venue: Meeting Point: Eastern Parking lot of Serena Hotel (outside the main building) at 8:45am.
