Dan Nightingale

One of stand-up’s brightest stars. A natural performer, a brilliant compere and one of the most exciting acts in comedy; Dan mixes cutting observation and raucous gags with high energy audience work and a natural playfulness, engaging any crowd. Original, creative and totally unpredictable.

Originally from Preston, Lancashire Dan started his comedy career while living in Newcastle in 2002. After working at The Hyena Comedy Café as a sound man for six months, he finally got on stage. Friday night in Newcastle. A real baptism of fire. But it went well and within four months Dan had reached the Semi Finals of three national new comedy competitions.

In June 2004 he turned professional, having fully established himself on the Northern comedy circuit, playing all the major clubs from Liverpool up to the North East. Since then he's performed multiple times at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, acted as warm-up man for Jonathan Ross and firmly established himself as one of the brightest stars in the North of England.
