Homage to Ansel Adams July 1, 2009

This exhibit showcases a collection of fine art black and white nature photographs exploring texture and tones through composition and light by Greg Matchick. It is being held in conjunction with the upcoming Gateway Gallery exhibit "Homage to the Old Masters". The gallery artists are interpreting a select group of works by the old masters from the collection held at the St. Louis Art Museum; each artist sharing their own vision. Among those works selected for interpretation was an Ansel Adams photograph. As a photographer influenced by the works of Ansel Adams Greg considered it only proper to pay homage with an entire exhibit. Gateway Gallery is open Wednesdays through Sundays.
