2401 State Park RD
Greenville, South Carolina 29609

It's the 1880s and a growing Greenville needs a water supply. Fortunately, Greenville has the water coming down through the forests of Paris Mountain. Join Interpretive Ranger Cathy Taylor in this interactive walk around Lake Placid, tracking Paris Mountain's history from Greenville's water source to a CCC-built state park. This is a program created for 8th grade classes, converted to a 4th Saturday program for history seekers of all ages. The program fee is $5.00 per person. Admission fee is waived. Registration required. To register, call the park office (864-244-5565), or email to ctaylor@scprt.com. Meet at Park Center.
