RAF: learning success soars with Moodle elearning

Keynote speaker:

Squadron Leader Andy Perkins - Joint Services Command and Staff College

Andy will share his insights into how the RAF are using Moodle to overcome the challenge of modernising learning on a finite budget for a large and growing audience.

With a target audience of 30,000, guiding RAF personnel through their professional training is no mean feat. In the midst of this are the RAF Division with 5,000 junior officers to train.... with a teaching staff of only 25.

Andy's presentation will include practical insights that will resonate with organisations from any sector.

Ready for business?

Moodle has a raft of tools and options that make it ideal for use in a business setting but some times commercial clients have additional requirements.

Our development team will showcase customisations and integrations that take Moodle to the next level for business use (we’re sure they’ll be of interest to anyone with a “Can Moodle do this?” type question too).

2.0 is the magic number

Moodle 2.0 is a major release in many ways. In this session, we’ll be covering the principal improvements and additions that impact on the experience for course designers and learners.

Whatever the status of the Moodle 2.0 release at the date of the seminar (pre-beta, in-beta, are we nearly there yet?) this session from our resident Moodle guru, Ray Lawrence, will be beneficial to both existing and prospective Moodle users.
