Immigration: Community, Culture & Change March 8, 2009

Throughout history, immigration has had an enormous influence on the world. The influx of people from around the globe has brought diverse communities together and created new communities in the United States as foreign and local cultures merge. Immigration is a relevant political factor. Professional Women Photographer’s exhibit, reflects how immigrants enrich our lives with their inherent qualities, and how they face the challenges of adapting and assimilating to a new country, while retaining the traditions of their homelands. The photographs in this exhibit capture this struggle along with the cultural enrichment immigrants provide, and the achievements they experience.
