Innovation Flow:
Innovation Flow is our proprietary approach based on our insights into the science of growing Ideas into Innovations. Innovation Flow provides a structured framework, systematic process and innovation tools to grow ideas into innovation.

The development of Innovation Flow is strongly influenced by the principles and philosophy of TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving). TRIZ is a popular, scientifically based inventive problem solving process. Companies that use the TRIZ approach for innovation and new product development include GE, Dow, Honeywell, Intel, IBM, Motorola, Xerox, P&G, Samsung etc. It is based on the idea that there are universal principles of invention that are the basis for creative innovations that advance technology. Once these principles can be identified and codified, they can be used to make the process of invention more predictable.

Systematic innovation is widely used today to improve products, services, and systems. It greatly reduces the time to produce breakthrough ideas and inventions. The Innovation Flow Workshop is designed to help us to find the best information, tools, resources and strategies to help us utilize this powerful problem-solving and product development methodology in our organization.

Objective:

Train technologists in the practice of a structured innovation framework for creating ideas and for growing ideas into innovation. The two-day workshop will train participants in applying various innovation tools and techniques on real-life technology problems.

The participants will form small teams (3-4 members) and will select real-life technology problems to work on during Workshop. They will practice the innovation tools and techniques on these problems using the Thatva Innovation Platform. Participants will have continued access to Thatva for two more weeks following the program.

Learn the basic concepts of systematic innovation using a TRIZ-inspired approach. Learn to implement a systematic process to:
• Create innovative solutions to complex technological problems
• Create strategic intellectual property around these innovative solutions
• Grow strong technical ideas or breakthrough inventions into successful innovations

Speaker’s Profile:
Dr Shankar has a rich experience in translating ideas to Innovation. He has a PhD from Indian Institute of Science and degree in Management from IIMB. He has 14 yrs of industry experience leading technology innovations in GE, Dow and Honeywell. He has 10 Patents and 2 award winning NPD to his credit. (Watch Video)

Dr Shanta has expertise is in creating and managing Intellectual Property in various areas that are strategic for business growth. She has a Ph D from Indian Institute of science and has led IP Management efforts at GE.

Bala Ramadurai is an independent researcher in the field of innovation management. He was a systematic innovation facilitator at MindTree Ltd. He was responsible for defining MindTree’s approach to creativity and systematic innovation. He has conducted training programs on creativity, systematic innovation, design thinking, personal productivity and visioning.

Sridhar D P is an Entrepreneur and Co founder of Thatva, A Innovation enabling platform. He has degree on Innovation and IP from Indian Institute of Science and Management degree from IIMB. He has 14 yrs of experience helping customers to translate their business requirements to IT. Has led consulting assignments for fortune companies.
