International Women's Day March 7, 2010

Dear Friends,

Decisions for Life project is an international research initiative in 14 countries which aims to raise awareness amongst the young female workforce (in the age group of 18-35) about their future employment opportunities and career possibilities, family building and work-family balance.

Decisions For Life Project (http://dfl.wageindicator.org) is in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDG3) - "Promoting Gender Equality and Empower Women".

The project is supported by trade unions, universities and Wageindicator Foundation. In India, the www.paycheck.in project at IIM-A and UNITES Professionals are part of the initiative.

Decisions For Life Project was launched in India on World Decent Work Day - October 7, 2009 at Bangalore.

In connection with the “International Women's Day” on 8th March 2010, we are organising an awareness campaign on “Rights of Working Women".

The all women participants will be representing 8 occupational sectors.

We would like you to participate and contribute your ideas during this event.

Program Schedule:

Time: 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm

Panel discussion on 'Women's role in today's workforce'. Discussion will be done by leading ladies from the corporate world followed by Chief Guest address.
