Introduction to Dyeing Series: Painting on Wool and Silk [B32] October 11, 2008

Textiles Workshop:

Beautiful color combinations can be made by painting with dyes in water color fashion on wool or silk using Lanaset acid dyes. This can be done on skeins, warps or fabric. In the first session we will learn to prepare the fiber and make the dyestock solutions. In the second session, you will dye and set your fiber.

Yarn may be purchased or you may bring your own. It must be 100% wool or silk or a blend of the two.

Please bring to session 1: a calculator, scissors and your yarn
Please bring to session 2: an apron, rubber gloves and 4-5 sponge brushes.

Materials fee: Yarn may be purchased or you may bring your own. It must be 100% wool or silk or a blend of the two.
