IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC! 
A TRIBUTE TO ARTHUR RUSSELL

Es geht hier um eine Disco Nacht???...nun ja, nicht wirklich. Bei "IS IT ALL OVER MY FACE" handelt es sich um einen Disco Klassiker aus dem Jahr 1980 von Arthur Russell (sicherlich ist den meisten die Version von Green Velvet bekannt) und wir wollen diesem aussergewöhnlichen Produzenten, Künstler und Musiker mit unserem 2 Tages Rave Tribut zollen.

Von Samstag, 01. August, 14:00 Uhr bis Sonntag, 02. August nachts werden wir das Rechenzentrum und den Funkpark in eine aussergewöhnliche Feierlocation verwandeln und eine echte musikalische Bandbreite von Downtempo bis hin zu Techno über House und Disco präsentieren. Eine freie Mixtur von Sounds und Strukturen, die sich nicht um gängige Regeln, wie sich elektronische Tanzmusik heute anzuhören hat, kümmert.

Berlin ist bekanntlich mit einer Menge an hervorragenden Clubs gesegnet, das Rechenzentrum steht jedoch für sich. Die grossartige Outdoor Area direkt am Fluss und der Indoor Club Bereich mit seinem amtlichen Soundsystem - so ziemlich die einzige Konkurrenz zur Function One Dominanz in der Stadt :) Diese Location ist ohne Gleichen und somit ziemlich perfekt geeignet für unser Fest.

Jetzt aber zur Musik:
U.a. Len Faki, James Ruskin (UK), Redshape, Sandwell District featuring Regis und Function (NYC/UK), Savas Pascalidis und Whatyes werden demonstrieren, warum sie zu den populärsten internationalen Künstlern zählen und unter Beweis stellen, wie sie es schaffen, weltweit die Dancefloors glücklich zu machen. A Guy Called Gerald gewährt uns mit seinem energetischen Freestyle Live Set einen Einblick in seine aktuelle Studioarbeit. Im Outdoor Bereich führt uns Deadbeat Live durch sein musikalisches Spektrum von Dub bis hin zu Techno und wir kommen in den Genuss eines Arthur Russell Tribute Sets von Dj Kaos. Und um die Currywurst geschmackvoll mit einer Tüte Fish N Chips zu kombinieren haben wir mit Tony Lionni Live, Sven Dohse, Hof Gutow, Kenny Cee, Alan Sommerville, Dj Mack und Janina Berliner Originale und englische Local Heroes auf die einzelnen Floors verteilt.

Ehhhhh? Is this a Disco night ? Well, not quite.... The name IS IT ALL OVER MY FACE is a classic West End disco track from 1980 by Arthur Russell, producer, musician, artist and now - a two day tribute rave celebrating electronic dance music in all it's forms.

Starting Saturday, 01 August, 14:00 until Sunday, 02 August late into the night, the complete area will be transformed into an unusual celebration location to present music from downtempo to techno to house to disco - a free mix of sounds and textures that do not adhere to anyone's rules of how electronic dance music is supposed to be.

In Berlin there is of course a large selection of suitable locations, but the Rechenzentrum / Funkpark is very special. It has the best of both worlds with its Funkpark Outdoor nature AREA on the river and the INDOOR cube with its full club soundsystem and massive dancefloor - the only rival to Function One's monopoly in Berlin. This place is unequalled in Berlin - perfect for a party inside and outside in high summer.

And now to the music: Among others Len Faki, James Ruskin (UK), Redshape, Sandwell District featuring Regis and Function (NYC/UK), Savas Pascalidis and Whatyes will show why they rank among the most popular international artists and prove how they have made the dancefloors of the world happy. A Guy Called Gerald (UK) will welcome us into his studio with another epic freestyle LIVE session. The outdoor area will bring us the dub to techno spectrum that is Deadbeat Live and an Arthur Russell tribute set by DJ Kaos. To bring the currywurst taste into the fish n chips we mixed up Berlin and London local heroes with Tony Lioni - Live, Sven Dohse, Hof Gutow, Kenny Cee (UK), Alan Sommerville (UK), DJ Mack, Bleed and Janina.
