Assembled in London, meeting through mutual friends exlovers have wasted no time since forming in early 2008. Their early sound was a quiet, folkish affair playing songs such as ‘The Ruins’ and ‘S.O.F’ previously written by Peter. Exlovers quickly drew upon their early 90’s American and UK indie influences (The Cure/Teenage Fan Club/My Bloody Valentine/Elliot Smith), collec...tively writing to combine sweetly sombre lyrical musings with lo-fi guitars, ever-developing boy-girl harmonies and subtle instrumental discord to stunning effect.
