Restored, period photos from Journey Into Climate, a recent book of adventure stories of field expeditions to the world’s coldest, remotest places.

Twenty-nine photos from the book will be on display , along with a Scott Tent, expedition boots, and a sextant used on early expeditions.

EVENT DESCRIPTION
Michael Morrison, co-author of Journey Into Climate, will be at Canessa Gallery at noon, 3, 5, and 7 PM on July 7 and 28. He will talk briefly about some of the field adventures behind the “Golden Age of Climate Research”, beginning in the late 1950s, when our modern understanding of Earth’s climate took shape. He will also give a brief tour of the photos on display and answer questions. Books and photos will be available for purchase. For more information see: JourneyIntoClimate.com

Michael Cope Morrison was the Scientific Coordinator for the Greenland Ice Sheet Project Two, and is a team member on other expeditions.
