JTV Tech Talk: Ethan Herdrick on Running a startup on Scheme January 24, 2008

Justin.tv is hosting tech talks for the SOMA community. Free pizza will be served at noon, and the talk will start at 12:30 (for approx. 40 min). The talks will be open to anyone in the area who is interested in listening, and will also be broadcast on justin.tv/hackertv.

Ethan Herdrick, co-founder of startup The Biographicon, will tell us about using Scheme at the web startup he co-founded. Topics covered will include: what they learned, storing data on disk as Scheme (instead of in a database), PLT Scheme vs. KawaScheme, and whether you should be using Scheme, too.
