The filmmaker behind GRASS and GO FURTHER takes on the mysterious world of fungi in this documentary. Ron Mann’s exploration takes him to the Telluride Mushroom Festival where he encounters a subculture that includes an unlikely assortment fungi-philes all paying homage to the mighty mushroom. WHY A FUNDRAISER?
Ron Obadia, cofounder of Living Libations, a natural food and beauty company, faces charges of exporting a controlled substance after being arrested at the US Border when basic tests administered by customs officials indicated that some of the essential oils and organic chocolate in their luggage tested positive for narcotics. They didn't have drugs. They had chocolate.
