KVSC 88.1 FM Presents: An Evening with Gary Louris & Friends June 11, 2011

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and guitarist Gary Louris of The Jayhawks is coming to the Historic Paramount Theatre in St. Cloud, Minn. Louris has built a loyal following at an international level with respect from critics and peers alike. Best known for hi...s leading role with The Jayhawks, Louris is one of the most acclaimed and popular musicians to come out of the Minneapolis rock music scene. The Jayhawks rose to international prominence and became one of the most important American rock bands of the time.

Since his days with The Jayhawks, Louris has collaborated with a number of artists from mainstream musicians like the Dixie Chicks to American folk great Lucinda Williams. The solo release of "Vagabonds" in 2008 marked his formal launch as a solo artist. Since his solo debut, Louris has done a number of reunion shows with The Jayhawks and he continues to work on new solo projects.
