The Band of the Prince of Wales’s Division are one of Britain’s top military bands.
This 31 piece band are being brought to Dubai as part of the Dubai St. George’s Society’s, St. George’s Day celebrations. This is a good opportunity to see a great military band perform many rousing and popular pieces such as Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Rule Britannia and Pomp and Circumstance, among many others.
The Band of the Prince of Wales’s Division is one of the British Army’s foremost infantry bands providing musical accompaniment at events as diverse as Royal engagements to the FA Cup Final.
The Band only came into being in its present format in 2006 in a reorganisation of the Corps of Army Music but was as amalgamation of two other Prince of Wales’s bands with roots retching back for many years. The Band continues the musical traditions of the British Army bands that go back over 300 years. It is also the only band in the British Army with a male voice choir!
