Latin American Concert And Bazaar May 3, 2008

Columbia Pro Cantare presents its first concert featuring the music of Latin America, spanning more than three centuries of music from five countries in four languages, and featuring Latin American and traditional instruments, April-Joy Gutierrez, favorite CPC soloist and award-winning soprano known for many of the most demanding roles in the lyric repertoire, as well as Alison Matuskey, celebrated pianist.
The concert will be followed by a festive bazaar featuring foods from Latin America and gifts for sale. Proceeds from the sale of gifts will benefit Howard County’s Foreign-born Information and Referral Network (FIRN), a local organization that assists immigrants from over 75 countries in applying for available human, social, and health services benefits.
