Lincoln Douglas Debates Exhibit December 4, 2008

The Indian Trails Public Library hosts the Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas Debates Exhibit, now through December 30th, at the library, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road in Wheeling. In 1858, a series of seven debates previewed what Lincoln would face as U.S. President. After gaining much popularity with the media's coverage of these debates, Lincoln was nominated for President shortly thereafter. Come see this free exhibit 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday - Friday; 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
