Lincoln Park Music Festival: House Music in the Park July 25, 2009

For the second day of this year's Lincoln Park Music Festival, house music will be featured in dedication to Mr. Shelton Hayes. Featuring performances by Thelma Houston, DJ Joaquin 'Joe' Claussell, Elisabeth Withers, DJ Rich Medina, DJ Tee Factory and DJ Duce Martinez. ILU Aye-El Tambor del Mundo will give a special Afro-Cuban drumming performance. "House Mother" Carolyn Byrd and industry pioneer John Brown make a special tribute to Newark's own Shelton Hayes.The park will be full of food and merchandise vendors and a Green Vendor Marketplace will educate us about environmentally-friendly products. For children, fun activities including the annual skateboarding clinic.
