Little Mountain & Riley Park Community Festival June 17, 2007

The Little Mountain & Riley Park Community Festival is a family event held on June 17th, in Riley Park from 11-4 with activities for people of all ages at little or no charge to the public. Organized by the Little Mountain Neighbourhood House, Riley Park Community Centre, and other local agencies and businesses, the theme “A Family of Communities” focuses on celebrating our strength and diversity. The Festival creates awareness of community resources and presents a venue for community capacity building among neighbours, businesses and community groups. This festival is a fixture in the community and attendance in previous years has reached over 2000 participants. The event typically includes a multicultural main stage, ethnic foods, community information and craft tables, a senior’s tea area, a bouncy castle, face painting, many children’s activities, and a raffle.
