Why do people collect? What compels us to keep searching for the perfect baseball card or the most beautiful painting? Anne Stradling was a collector. Before she turned her collection over to the Hubbard Museum of the American West, she had gathered together objects from 300 years of her family history as well as practically anything related to horses, including saddles, bits, blankets, statues, carriages and wagon models.
