Alexander rd and Scenic loop
Louisville, Kentucky -na-

The gang from the Louisville Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/louisville/) are getting together at Cherokee Park. If your interested in Flickr and/or digital cameras feel free to attend!

More detail:

Specifically meet in front of the shelter/gazebo thats at the top of the hill by the golf course (This is the hill that people often let dogs run around on).

This shelter stands alone on the LEFT side (if your driving) of "Scenic Loop" (The one way road that takes you through the park).

Here are two (not very good) pictures of it:

If you see a fountain (but not a shelter) on your left, your at the wrong hill, just keep following Scenic Loop (by always taking left hand turns) and you will eventually get to the correct hill.

There is quite a bit of street parking along the road both before and after the shelter, worst case there is parking at the bottom of the hill before the shelter on Scenic Loop (but its a heck of a long walk). There is also some parking at the golf course (also a long walk).

The point of this thing is to meet in person, talk camera/flickr and take pictures. Bring a warm windproof coat and your camera(s). Here are some links to pictures from other flickrmeets:

AccuWeather is predicting overcast skys with a temperature of 49F with 15-24 mph winds (Bundle up - I didn't pick the time or the place so I won't accept blame for the weather ;) )

Kitas Papa has expressed interest in heading over to the Heine Brothers coffee shop on Longest and Bardstown afterwards.

I'm going to be standing in front of the shelter/gazebo right at noon. I will hang around there till at least 12:30. I'll be the big guy in a dark green coat with a blue black camera bag on one shoulder and a black SLR camera on the other. I'll try and flickr myself to make it easier to spot me.
