Mandolin Orange is a duo, sometimes band, led by songwriter Andrew Marlin and vocalist/instrumentalist Emily Frantz. The duo ornaments lyric and harmony focused tunes with acoustic and electric guitars, fiddle and mandolin. As a band they are joined by rhythm section Jeff Crawford (bass) and James Wallace (drums). The duo's debut album "Quiet Little Room" released in May 2010, and its sparse arrangement and instrumentation reflect the influence of traditional music on their contemporary folk style.
