Mangalorean Food Festival at Karavalli. Karavalli at The Gateway Hotel, Bangalore is hosting a Mangalorean Food Festival. Karavalli has brought in Chef Prabhakar who has mastered both the Bunt and Konkani cuisine for this journey to showcase the depth of these regional cuisines. The Mangalore coast boasts of the spiciest and most delicious recipes of seafood, meat, poultry and locally grown vegetables. Within this region we see few pr ominent communities known for the distinct dishes. Extensive usage of souring agents such as tamarind lemon juice, toddy vinegar kodampuli and kokum is also a binding factor in Mangalorean cuisine.
