March for Babies (walk-a-thon) April 30, 2011

More than 30,000 babies are born premature in NY each year, representing over 12% of all live births. More than 4,000 of those babies are born right here on Long Island. Almost 200 of them will not live to see their 1st birthday.
Join us on SATURDAY, APRIL 30 at EISENHOWER PARK (East Meadow, Field 6/6a) to be part of the nation's first walk event (initial started in 1970 by the March of Dimes). March for Babies is a fun, family-oriented event that kicks off with a 6-mile walk in the park. Local sponsors provide snacks and drinks, as well as other "freebies".
