Join historically dressed interpreters along a half mile walk, from Artillery Park to Varnum's picnic area, traveled by George Washington's Continental Army when they left the encampment 234 years ago. The interpreters will discuss military and civilian life during the army's stay, and will end the event with a program about life as a soldier. Sturdy walking shoes are recommended, and visitors are welcome to bring lunch and enjoy it at the picnic area.
