Margaret Murphy: Cameo May 29, 2010

Margaret Murphy will show a new series of mixed media works on paper. The highly embellished works contain figurines within landscapes reflecting Murphy's experiences with consumer culture. Through her excessive use of kitsch, decoration and color she further critiques material culture and its ability to represent or misrepresent views of gender, class and history.
