Mystery runs in this family, which boasts two authors of the mystery suspense writing genre—Mary Higgins Clark and daughter Carol Higgins Clark. Each has her own style: Mary writes about psychological trauma that her female characters eventually overcome, while Carol creates lighter crime stories featuring feisty heroine Regan Reilly. In addition, the two find ways to collaborate and still speak to each other at the end of the day.
