MatheMagic at the Meadowlands! March 15, 2008

The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission is hosting MatheMagic!, an educational and entertaining afternoon of math and magic, at the NJMC's Meadowlands Environment Center on March 15.

Acclaimed magician Bradley Fields' program captivates school-aged audiences with feats of illusion and explanations of how mathematics is really behind the magic. Participants will discover that the first "magicians" were really mathematicians and learn about mathematical contributions from the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and other cultures.

In addition to his theatrical career, Fields has taught in the New York City Public Schools, the State University of New York, the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, and at teacher workshops across the country.

MatheMagic! begins at 1 p.m.. The show is appropriate for ages 5 and up. Admission is $7 per person, $5 for members of the Meadowlands Environment Center.
