Topic: PDF is a standard in creating well formatted, printable and portable content. Dealing with PDF is always a challenging task and luckily we have some great tools on ColdFusion 8. I will try to provide some technical information about these tools and give some examples on usage of these new features.
You may consider to focus on general PDF technology and a bit history on dealing with PDF, new ColdFusion 8 PDF features (cfpdf, cfpdfform, cfprint and enchanced features such as cfdocument/cfreport), PDF generation, PDF document manipulation, and dealing with PDF forms.
Bio: Oğuz Demirkapı is a a Senior Application Developer at TeraTech. He started developing CGI web applications in 1994 and has been developing ColdFusion since 1997. He has either been CTOs or
Senior Developer of many well known commercial and blue chip companies both in Turkey and Germany. He ran the CFTR – ColdFusion Turkey User Group for six years before moving to the US. He is a well known ColdFusion evangelist and has spoken at many user group meetings in Europe. His main areas of interest lie in ColdFusion, Flex, Frameworks technologies and L10N & i18N, CMS, portal, e-commerce solutions.

Bio: Michael Smith runs the Maryland ColdFusion User Group and organized eight successful national CF events including CFUNITED with 900 attendees in the Washington DC area. Michael is president and founder of TeraTech http://www.teratech.com/, a 18-year-old Rockville, Maryland based consulting company that specializes in ColdFusion, Database and Visual Basic development. TeraTech won the CFDJ award for best consulting company five years in a row. Michael has been programming for over 25 years and has been coding in ColdFusion since version 1.5. He teaches classes in ColdFusion and Fusebox nationwide. He has an MA in Math from Cambridge University, England. Michael has been on the Board of Byte Back, a non-profit organization that provides computer training for unemployed and under-employed inner city residents. He also is a frequent contributor to Fusion Authority, the ColdFusion Developer Journal and the CPCUG monitor and runs the CF Bug Hunt and CF Conf websites for the ColdFusion community.
