MEET THE FASHION INDUSTRY INSIDERS

San Joaquin Delta College's Fashion Program is presenting a unique opportunity to meet some leading insiders from the fashion industry.

On Thursday, September 29th from 5:00-7:00 pm in Tillie Lewis Theater on the Delta College Campus, five influential fashion leaders will be sharing their perspectives on the industry, offering advice on getting your foot in the door, dispelling myths about the fashion business and providing a "real" world view of the fashion industry.

This is the third year that the Fashion Program at San Joaquin Delta College has presented this event. Last year's event was a standing-room only success. We are looking forward to an even larger event, so we've moved it from Danner Hall to Tillie Lewis Theater to accommodate more people!

This year's line-up is a "powerhouse" panel of insiders from New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento, with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Areas of specialization include celebrity styling, fashion design, ethical fashion and bespoke design, fashion law, high-end fashion retail and fashion education. These and other various aspects of fashion industry specializations will be covered in a casual discussion among the panelists and with the audience. The audience will also be given the opportunity to ask questions, participate in the conversation and gain exclusive inside knowledge about the business!

The panel includes: Michael Palladino, Director of Student Life at LIM College in New York and former celebrity stylist and Client Services Director for Henri Bendels; Jeni Elizabeth, celebrity stylist in Los Angeles for awards shows and media appearances for a variety of celebrity clients; Billy Hutchinson, former Delta Fashion student and current Assistant Manager of Gump's in San Francisco and creator of his own calligraphy and stationary line; Uduak Oduok, Fashion & Entertainment Law Attorney & Publisher for Ladybrille Magazine; Renata Campion, fashion designer and owner of Trooyu fashion and footwear.

The Fashion students who attended last year were truly inspired. Even the panelists found the event eye-opening, fun, valuable and beneficial to expanding their network of industry professionals. After the event, they were very reflective of their own experiences in participating in the event.

This event Is FREE and open to the public!
